Hello,

Kix v3.62 has a GetFileTime function. Unfortunately I have a massive amount of user's on v3.50 of Kix. Any method of getting the timestamp from a file in a format with yyyy mm dd (in any sequence).

One way to do this would be to put a copy of Kix V3.6 on the network as KIX36.EXE and write a script that you can pass parameters to.

ie Within 3.5 script:

something like Shell 'cmd /c kix36 script2.kix $var="filename.ext"'

If that doesn't work, try this:

shell "cmd /c kix36 script2.kix "+chr(36)+"var="+chr(34)+"filename.ext"+chr(34)

instead. This will run the other script with the new processor without having to change all the current 3.5 scripts. Although I would expect that 3.5 scripts would work with v3.6 and you only need to have the one copy of KIXxx.exe on the network.

hope this helps.

Thank you. It's a good idea worth trying. I forgot to mention that I have a number (30%?) using kix v3.62
