I have a new KixStart Problem that I have no solution for. KixStart Version 3.61 or 3.62. Tried KiXtart.ini to 2 different servers and one IP address. Previously there was no KiXtart.ini. 95 Clients only on laptops. The errors do not happen on any desktops or NT machines. We have a NT Server only environement. KixRPC stopped started updated you name it. Now here is the Message only some Laptop 95 users get: An exception 0E has occured at 0028:C11519A4 in VxD ---. This was called from 0028:C1151980 in VxD ---. It may be possible to continue normally. Press any key to continue or press CTRL+ALT+DEL to restart windows. This only happens the first time they boot up and first log in. If they log out then back on the error does not occur. I have also tried the msnet32.dll update. Does anyone have a clue? Im willing to stand on my head and cluck like a chicken if it would help.

Added to post. KixStart is working on over 1500 desktops and most laptops. So it is not a scripting problem. This only began recently. Also yes I have replaced all DLL's that go with the version of KiXstart running EA 3.61 and 3.62. After the blue screen users hit any key and the script continues to run properly. There is nothing in startup or any of the other startups. Yes we do run Norton Anti-Virus but I do as well on a laptop and do not have this error occuring. The Laptops are IBM thinkpad. 600 series I believe. I dont know if I can narrow down this problem any further. If I remove the users login script the error does not occur and the laptop runs fine with no blue screen.

Try with the following update for Windows 95:

168115us5.exe (update MSNP32.DLL to 4.00.957)

A direct link at this page: http://support.microsoft.com/support/kb/articles/q168/1/15.asp

I don't know if it will resolve your problem, but this is worth a try.

Neither of these worked. Thanks for the try though. It appears to be network card related to 16bit pcmcia cards in a IBM laptop 600e machine. Weve updated the drivers and the blue screen occurs one out of every 10-20 reboots.
