I would like to make a script that reads a entered string and uses that string to modify a Office 97 key. I want to run a script to modify paths in Word and excel so it automatically saves to the users home directories (i,e: F:\USERS\CRB) instead of manually setting all of the information. For instance this excel key:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\8.0\Excel\Microsoft Excel\DefaultPath\C:\My Documents\

change my documents to the string that will be entered when the script is launched or maybe to read a variable already set in the initial netware script(SET FULL_NAME=CRB).

Is this too obvious ...

$excel = "software\microsoft\office\8.0\excel\microsoft excel"

$rs = writevalue ( $excel, "DefaultPath", @homedir, "reg_sz" )

Shawn.
