I'm using the following (terribly inefficient) code to parse fully qualified paths into folder and filename components.

[CODE]
$filename = "c:\winnt\system32\drivers\etc\lmhosts.sam"
$folder = ""
while instr($filename,"\")
$folder = $folder + substr($filename,1, instr($filename,"\") )
$filename = substr($filename,instr($filename,"\")+1, len($filename))
loop
$folder=substr($folder,1,len($folder)-1)

?"folder=$folder"
?"filename=$filename"
[\CODE]

I'd like to see more file attribute functions in KIX (ie GETFILENAME,GETFILEEXT) that would allow us to parse-out filenames.

Actually, does anyone know of any OLE functions that will do this ?

As well, does anyone have any KIX script to parse-out comma-delimited files or strings ?

Shawn.
