Im having several problems. First how do i get global variables in win95? I tried winset.exe but it would not recognize the variable afterwards. second, how do you map a drive inside the script??? I tried:
use h: "\\svr1018\fasshare" and a few other things, but that did not work...

thanx

is this variable recognized after a reboot?
for win95 a drive mapping must work as you mention : use h: "\\srv1018\fasshare"
but it could be that H: is already in use, to determine this you need to check the @error after the use h: ".."
ex:
code:

use h: "\\srv1018\fasshare"
if @error <> 0
? " Error mapping drive to h: error code : " + @error
? "Press a key to continue."
get x$
endif

I ran into something like this on 9x. The drive would map after a relogon but not after a full restart.

I ended up using BOTH set and winset for each variable.
