I can not get the ingroup function to work for a global group. I am running 3.55, everything works but ingroup for 95 clients.
It always returns a value of 0
Any suggestions? Please help! Thank you!
Jonathan

---sample script----
Call @LSERVER\NETLOGON\system.kss ;@LSERVER = logon server
Call \\pdc\NETLOGON\system.kss ;@LSERVER = logon server
IF @inwin='1' Goto WinNT
Else Goto Win95

:WinNT
IF INGROUP("scripttest")=1
Use T: "\\ilox-fs1\eng-shared"
ENDIF

goto end
:Win95
$getg=INGROUP("LAITRAM\scripttest")
IF $getg=1
"good job!"
Use T: "\\ilox-fs1\eng-shared"
"2"
ENDIF
:end

I even tried this script.
----------------------

Call @LSERVER\NETLOGON\system.kss ;@LSERVER = logon server
Call \\pdc\NETLOGON\system.kss ;@LSERVER = logon server
IF @inwin='1' Goto WinNT
Else Goto Win95

:WinNT
IF INGROUP("scripttest")=1
Use T: "\\ilox-fs1\eng-shared"
ENDIF

goto end
:Win95
IF INGROUP("scripttest")=1
"good job!"
Use T: "\\ilox-fs1\eng-shared"
ENDIF

:end

Get a copy of msnet32.dll for Windows98. I had this problem and this was my fix.

refer to KIXTART - starters on this BB. It's something about replacing MSNET32.DLL. I have the same problem and it doesn't work on either Win95 or Win98.
Try this... Create a new GLOBAL group and try ingroup again...
Hope this works

It fine on GLOBAL groups, but fails to recognize LOCAL groups.

So much to learn, so little time...

There are no local groups on Windows 9x.

You are also missing an "endif".

Call @LSERVER\NETLOGON\system.kss ;@LSERVER = logon server
Call \\pdc\NETLOGON\system.kss ;@LSERVER = logon server
IF @inwin='1' Goto WinNT
Else Goto Win95
EndIf ; <-- add missing EndIf here

:WinNT
.
.
.

To help with tracking loop in code ie IF...[ELSE]...ENDIF, WHILE...LOOP etc, try indenting the code:

Instead of:

IF $BLAH="BLAH"
WHILE $BLAH2<>"STOP"
IF @USERID="administrator" LOGOFF(1) ENDIF
LOOP
?
ENDIF

try

code:

IF $BLAH="BLAH"
WHILE $BLAH2<>"STOP"
IF @USERID="administrator" LOGOFF(1) ENDIF
LOOP
?
ENDIF

You should then be able to scroll up and down and find missing ENDIFs, LOOPs etc..
