Thanks for viewing.

I'm running IIS 5 on Win2K Server. Due to the SQL application I'm running I can't allow Anonymous access. As a result, users have to enter in the ID and password when they try to connect. Is there anyway to use Kixtart to automatically pulls their logon information and send it to IIS so users don't have to manually enter it every time?

Thanks ahead for all replies.

this is something I've seen at our already buried intranet.
the IIS should allow access automatically.
if you can't make it so easily, try apache.

I think you need IIS for internet or do you need it for your Intranet? I it is for the intranet you can use windows authentication

You don't need any KiXing to get IIS to use pass-through Windows authentication. You just need the IIS server and the clients setup correctly. I have lots of intranet content that does not allow anonymous browsing.

Hint: You know you have it setup right when IE shows Intranet instead of Internet in the lower right corner of the status bar.

You are probably looking at using an ODBC Connection..

It would be recommended that you use a DBQ rather than an ODBC.. You would pass this through your web page for example.

Look at the following sites to get you going:
http://asp101.com
http://learnasp.com
http://15seconds.com
http://actionjackson.com

You can specify usernames/passwords when creating DB connections. This is standard practice, anonymous access to the website, and a special read-only DB account to read fro the database. See for example DBConnOpen() - Open a connection to a database using ADODB and http://www.connectionstrings.com
