Hallo
I am an new member, and my english is not the best, but i hopp any in this forum can help me.

i am using Kix since manny years, but now we are changing to 2003, and i will create local admin rights for my users.
Can kix Run as an user like Admin, for connect to printers and shares, or coopy fils to the PC.

KiXtart like any other program can be started in the context of any account.

Could you provide much more detail about how you want to use KiXtart, your process of using an Administrator account, etc.

right is i don't will create local admin accounts for my users, but some printerconnections will only connect with an localy admin Account.

That sounds like a "Printer Driver" installation issue. I do not do anything with printers. Hopefully someone else can address that problem.

There was an issue that started to creep up starting with XP, we get some insight here from Brian Styles -
problem with use lpt1:  - require some admin priv.

And he refers the poster to -
Non-Administrators Cannot Remap an LPT Port to a Network Printer

There is also another Q you have to read. It is about policy "user configuration\administrative templates\control panel\printers\point and print restictions". The Standard setting is "Not Configured". If you want to connect printers the way you were use to with NT you have to change the policy to "Disabled".
