Actually, I'd rather edit the registry to point to the alternate directory. It's under HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Shell Folders. However, writing to this registry key requires administrative privileges.
