I seem to remember something about a patch to Win2000 server concerning this issue.

The reason that I mentioned "real" shares is you map:

USE H: "\\Server Name\USERS\"

This is not the usual users' home directory but it is the directory that the user manager creates to hold the actual user directories. It is very unusual to enter a user home directory this way. If you created actual user shares it would be something like:

USE H: \\Server Name\@USERID$
