Have you read: http://www.kixtart.org/board/ultimatebb.php?ubb=get_topic;f=10;t=000025 ?

Your use of the "Z:" is not recommended.

In your batch file why are you trying to distinguish between W2K and XP?

The only real significant difference that you need to determine in the batch file is between Win9x computers and NT (NT3.51 to XP). You should also be calling additional script from within the first KiXtart script. There is no need to keep loading Kix32.exe.

Without seeing the code of your other scripts, it will be hard to determine what is necessary.

We do not know what this program Update32.exe does. I would recommend that you determine what the rest of the code does and write a KiXtwart script that ties it all together.
