Windows 9x password has nothing to do with the Network Password.

Personally I'd remove the Windows password and have it be blank. No real need for it anyways.

The issue though of changing the NT Domain User Network password is that it does not matter how it is done. The user will still be able to access anything they have already opened, but anything new, would give them an Access Denied message.

This is by Design for Security reasons. Without some black magic hacking... I don't know of any legitamate way accept to log the user off and log back on to get a new Security Token based on the new password.
