kncowans kncowans Getting the hang of it Registered: 2000-11-11 Posts: 98 Loc: Doncaster, UK	Hello all I have been scripting using KiXtart for a couple of years now on Windows 9x machines and have been asked if I could write some logon scripts for another school which uses Windows NT and 2000 machines. I was wondering is there is anything that I have to be aware of when scripting for Windows NT as opposed to Windows 9x. I do not think that the scripts are going to require Registry functions so I should not come up against this problem. As for software installation rights, Administrators should be able to perform the installation, correct? With MSI Installers you can use AlwaysInstallElevated to enforce this. Also, implement policies form the very beginning. kncowans kncowans Getting the hang of it Registered: 2000-11-11 Posts: 98 Loc: Doncaster, UK	Hello Sealeopard With my scripts for Windows 9x I write the policies straight to the Registry and use KiXtart to decide what settings to write as it is more flexible that way, and more reliable. In fact in script testing, we encountered rights issues with writing files to the %windir% folder itself.
