You are correct that "starters" is the place to get basic questions answered. But you also have to realized that the basic lesson for any IT professional is to do some due diligence in understanding how and where to get the info.
We are more then willing to help with problems related to the interpretation of documentation and the giving general advice on how to approach a problem, but you shouldn't use the board as an on-line manual.
I tried in my last post to give you the piece of info that seemed relevant. That being that KiXtart and the DOS environment share command and possibly function names. You need to read sufficiently to understand that and which commands/functions might be affected.
