First the background... We have an in house application that is being upgraded and released this weekend. All users have a folder on their desktop that contains links to the exe's which are located on a network drive. The boss wants the icon for one piece to be removed and replaced with the new executable. The kicker here is that some folks have dragged that icon from the folder to their desktop. Some of these machines may have 5-10 profiles, so I have to be able to search through the profiles as well to see if that link is present on the desktop. If it is, it needs to be deleted and the new executable placed back in the proper folder on the desktop. (I'm hoping all this makes sense!) Removing the icon from the folder itself shouldn't be a issue, since it falls under the all user's profile--deleted and create shouldn't be a problem there...it's the profiles that I can't get a grasp on how to handle.
Any ideas?
Thanks in advance... -clayton-
