Yes. USE is the native KiXtart scripting command whose equivalent is the Command Interpreter's NET USE command.
With regards to functionality, there is no difference between those two.
However, it is 'best practice' to use native kiXtart commands whereever possible. SHELLing out should only be a last resort if functionality cannot be achieved by native KiXtat Commands, UDFs, or WMI/ADSI/COM scripting.
