sgtdrpepper sgtdrpepper Fresh Scripter Registered: 2002-10-21 Posts: 9	Hello I have an app that is pointing to a server that is moving. Is there a way I can check to see if the shortcut is on a users desktop and if so chanck the target to the new server? I am very new to scripting so try to keep simple if at all possible. Thanks

Otherwise you will have to enumerate all .LNK files in the Start menu and on the desktop and check each one whether it contains the link to the application. You cna use the DirPlus() UDF in the UDF Froum to search for a file in directories. _________________________ There are two types of vessels, submarines and targets.

It prevents possible problems with guys who has create their own version.
