Can anyone tel me how to process a list of items ?
I want to create a list and then process items in the list one at a time.
I am trying to write a script to archive event logs on all of my servers. I would like to create a list with all of the server names and tehn do something like this:
get $server
BackupEventlog( "\\$server\Application" , "c:\evlogs\application.evt")
BackupEventlog( "\\$server\System" , "c:\evlogs\system.evt")
BackupEventlog( "\\$server\Security" , "c:\evlogs\security.evt")
ClearEventlog( "Application" )
ClearEventlog( "Security" )
ClearEventlog( "System" )
Any ideas ?
Also I would like to rename the archive event log using the server name and the date as part of the file name, and I haven't quite figured out how to do that either.
I am really new to kixtart. Any help would be appreciated.
