I am trying to figure out how to do a simple CTRL+LeftClick with a mouse..

I have tried AutoIT and EventCorder with no success with this..

The application that I am working with does not accept the Space bar with a CTRL to "tag" the lines in the application..

Here is my AutoIT Code:
code:
WinWaitActive, Borrower Files
MouseMove, 100, 45
Send,^
LeftClick, 100, 45
MouseMove, 100, 59
Send,^
LeftClick, 100, 59
MouseMove, 100, 73

I have also tried:
Here is my AutoIT Code:
code:
WinWaitActive, Borrower Files
MouseMove, 100, 45
Send,^+LeftClick, 100, 45
MouseMove, 100, 59
Send,^+LeftClick, 100, 59
MouseMove, 100, 73

Thanks,

Kent

Kent,
You don't give enough info. If we knew what OSS this has to work on and we could have a sample screen to test on maybe we could find a work-around. If you turn on sticky keys you may be able to get CTRL to stay down while you left click.

Kent,

Try LeftClickDrag...

quote:

LeftClickDrag, x1, y1, x2, y2
RightClickDrag, x1, y1, x2, y2

Drags the mouse pointer from x1,y1 to x2,y2 with the relevant mousebutton held down. The co-ordinates are relative to the current active window.

Chris,
I thought of that and assumed Kent did too. Thought though maybe the endpoint may vary. If a cursor can be placed then CTRL-SHFT-ARROW would block as well.

I was just thinking along the same lines. Maybe better, {ctrl}+{shift}+{end}

Found this is the AutoIT manual...
code:
{CTRLDOWN} Holds the CTRL key down until {CTRLUP} is sent

BTW..

The [CTRLDOWN}, {SHIFTDOWN} and {CTRLUP}, {SHIFTUP} are only available in the newer versions of AutoIT.

There is one more reason to upgrade to the latest version of AutoIt.

WinActivate improved under 2000/XP (AutoIt v. 3.63), didn't work in previous versions.

Also the compiled scripts are smaller than in previous versions.
