How do you map drives so they are visible to win2k clients on their desktops

Create a shortcut that point to the appropriate drive. The copy the shortcut to the desptop (either for all users of the specific user). The exact location of the desktop folder inside the user profile can be found e.g. at HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Current Version\Explorer\User Shell Folders.

A quicker way to the desktop on W2K clients would be to use the environment variable "%userprofile%\desktop."
