there is no need to do it other than you and your user asking for functions.
even versions 3.4* work fine.
but what comes to support and special knowledge on the web, it's mostly related to 3.63 and 4.*
les made a good suggestion to you which you won't regred but offcourse evolution and development is to be decided by the ones involved.
