Can you manually connect to the network printer and set it as the default printer? As user and/or as administrator?
It sounds as if KiXtart itself or the script that you are using are not the actual problem, but that there is something wrong on that workstation. Are users allowed to install printer drivers? This can be restricted on a per-workstation level.
