Hi all, I'm new to this BB and even newer to Kix. I was just wondering if there's a way to use @IPADDRESS0 ( or nay other macro) to attain the IP address of a remote host, meaning I'm not using Kix thru a login script that runs at the user's WKS. I already wrote a script that does other things ( like gets user's HD space thru a mapping etc) , but I need to add something that gives me the IP also. I'm running this script from the server's console. I've used @IPADDRESS0 but of course this gives me the local server's IP since I'm running it from the console itself. Any ideas?? Any and all help is much greatly appreciated !! Thanks!!

Hi cizq, welcome to the board. These wkstns, are they all NT or 9x or a mix ? Could you shell-out and ping the host into a textfile, than read it back into your script and parse ?
