Hi there,

The logoff(1) command does not work on my Win95 PCs. Well, it works a little... it closes down all open apps but the user is still able to access the network (files, printers, email, etc). Is this command only good for NT PCs? I want the user to be logged out as if they hit Start->Shut down->Close all programs and log in as a different user.

Any thoughts are welcome!
Patrick

Hi Pat,

I don't think this command works on 95/98 machines(at least not without modification)

2000 has authentication when u logon, however win 95/98 does not...network resources are still accessible....
but im not sure if u can change that

LOGOFF() and SHUTDOWN() are unreliable on
Windows 9x. See also Shutdown/Restart - options

You may want to try killing KiX while break is off. This may cause a logout (untested).
