hi everyone again,
have any of u used diskpart.exe from the ms resource kit for win2k?
i want to script the partitioning of disks, but im not sure how diskpart works.(it doesnt seem to work in the command line)
anyways any help is appreciated...come toujours ![[Wink]](images/icons/wink.gif)

Dear,
We are using also GDISK from Norton Ghost product.
Its command can easy defined in a BATch file.
You can easily define all type of partition and
with more flexibility as f.e. FDISK.
A GUI version can be Partition Magic software from Powerquest.

Gdisk if you use ghost, Partition Magic/Drive Image if you use that one. Other than that sysprep can do very basic partitioning I believe.
the idea is that the MS tools work... But there is usually a better alternative (seldom are they free)
I have only come across 1 exception, and that is KiXtart. (this has changed recently, but is certainly reasonable)

(I wonder what it is about these guys from the Netherlands... Do they have nothing to do during the winter, but write code???)

From my experience with Ranish Partition Manager, it has always been free.
