Hello, I am a first time poster here. I have a registry key that I would like to import onto all computers in my domain using kixtart. It is a screensaver timout key. I created they key on a workstation and exported it to reg file format. I cam get it to run using a batch file, but that provides a message box requesting confirmation. I understand that kixtart does not ask for confirmation when importing registry keys. how can I import a key that is in reg format?

Have you tried regedit /s instead of just regedit?

IN kix, look into "Loadkey"

What exactly is the syntax? here is what I am doing. I use a text file to automaticaly add printers, using the add printer connection function. how do I use loadkey do do the same thing? my logon.bat file tells kix32 to run the txt file with my printer connections in it, does loadkey work the same way?

Why do you want to use a registry file if you can use ADDPRINTERCONNECTION? Connecting a printer under Windows NT/2000/XP is more than just adding registry keys. The printer drivers might get downloaded from the print server if they have changed or do not yet exist.

My printer script works, I am trying to add a key that changes the screensaver timout, but I think that by reading through back posts, I have figured it out. by using the policy editors and a custom adm file.

Alright, I need help again. I was browsing the older posts, and found one that had an adm file called cursors.adm. I added this file to all of my dc's, and changed the screensaver timout policy, however, it still is not working. I am thinking that I can import this file using a bat file. I have exported the proper reg key using regedit, and have made a bat file that will run it, basically, it just runs the reg key whenever someone logs on. however, when it does this, it puts up a dialog box that requires the user to hit ok. What command can I use in a bat file to run the reg key and not require user input?
