I am trying to create copies of short cuts on the desktop of the members in a group in my AD Domain. The shortcuts are saved to a folder on my network. The group has Read, Write permissions to the folder that the shortcuts are saved in and the drive letter is mapped before the script to create the shortcut is run.
Here is the script that I am trying to use:
If InGroup ("AD GROUPNAME") COPY "Mapped Drive Letter:\Folderlevel1\Folderlevel2\shortcutname.lnk" "%Userprofile%\Desktop\Shortcutname.lnk" endif
When a user of the group logs in, the drive letter maps to the correct path, but the shortcut is not created.
