Miguel Miguel Fresh Scripter Registered: 2002-05-02 Posts: 5	Hi, I am working in a script that takes my modem IP address (given by DHCP) and copies it in the IP address field of the ethernet adapter. I would use it in order to share a internet connection. I suppose it is easy but I am a beginner in Kixtart. Thanks

Miguel Miguel Fresh Scripter Registered: 2002-05-02 Posts: 5	Sorry, there is a mistake. I want to get the IP address from my modem, and then, copy it in the 'IP gateway' field of the ethernet adapter. Thanx!!

This is a functionality provided by various Windows OS's to have multiple computers share one incoming Internet connection. _________________________ There are two types of vessels, submarines and targets.

Miguel Miguel Fresh Scripter Registered: 2002-05-02 Posts: 5	Jens, Yes, I know I can share IP connections. In fact, that's what I do. The problem is that my internet provider uses DHCP, so if I want to share this connection I have to change the 'gateway address' in the other network adapters; in fact the gateway address matches with the shared IP address given by DHCP.
