Hi people,

I'm new using KixStart, and i have a friend who's a developer and he has a customer that runs his software and very often the customer's computer loses the connection with the wireless network. The idea that we had (and probably anyone would had) is that of making a script that tests if the connection state is disconnected , if true, deactivate the Wireless adapter then activate it again.

To explain better, he says that out of nothing the connection with the internet is stopped. But the wireless adapter continues enabled as normal... To restore, the customers has to restart the Computer...

So the script would be like this:

Try to connect with any site like http://www.google.com
If the result is "Could not connect ... (i dont know the msg that returns)" Then
Wireless adapter gets deactivated
wait like 10 seconds,
then wireless adapter gets activated
and the internet connection will restore...

Guys, im really noob at KiXtart, i did the search but could not understand some posts that look like what i need. Also, sorry for bad english, im from Brazil...

Thanks in advance!

You would want ping() or osping()
If not reachable net stop wlansvc, net start wlansvc should suffice. Maybe throw in ipconfig renew... After that netsh WLAN status.

Can't write anything solid on this phone but it is quite straightforward

Btw. This sounds like driver bug. Intel had one just last year. If this is a laptop, update drivers. If it is desktop the wireless adapter needs replaced.
