Yeah... you're right, but thankfully we have all our servers protected by NetShield.. and don't authorize shares on client PCs.. so we don't have too much problem with that.

The usage of Kixtart is depending of your environment. Mostly we are using two type of environments:
organization is using some like Norton Antivirus Corporation Edition or McAfee Management Console. in this situation you are controlling it from one location. most important tasks are: - installing virus software - keep virus DAT files up to date - control virus settings. mostly it will be used by big organizations.
by small organizations mostly single versions of virus software will be installed. to keep it up to date there must be an internet connection. a good one is the live-update mode of some manufactors.
What can kixtart do for you:
get information about actual virus software, virus DAT and settings.
cleaning old DAT files.
