My preferred approach is first to see if I can find the cause of the problem. I can always re-image if I can't fix the problem, but I like to know what caused the problem in the first place.
I will set it up so that I can run system repair when I want to run it, but disable windows repair from running automatically as most times it does this because somebody switches the computer off instead of shutting the computer down properly. At one of my clients, the kids are always switching the computer off.
But everyone has different approaches. If your priority is to get the pc working in the minimum time then disabling it makes sense, but if you are like me and Lonk we like to see what caused the problem in the first place, so I would still like to be able to get into system repair.
