Hi everyone,
just to let you know that I am working on an update of KiXtart that will support Windows 8.1.
Should have been trivial, but due to a change in the version API's in Windows 8.1, it is turning out to be a bit of a challenge.
And indeed, as some of you may have found, the current version of KiXtart report a Windows 8.1 system as Windows 8.0. This is not KiXtart messing up, this is the OS fibbing about what it is, all for the greater good of application compatibility.
Hopefully this will be addressed soon, I'll keep you posted...
