I have been using KiXtart for that last 12 years on a Win 2003 server platform. This weekend I raised the domain functionality to 2012 and now KiXtart doesn't work on our XP machines. I check the event viewer and I don't see anything pertaining to it's attempt to run. Yet I can go to my Dc\netlogon and see the scripts and double click to open them and it works fine. Anyone else run into this issue and now how to resolve it?
It works with 2012. What version of kix are you using? Is this a GPO script or a traditional logon script. Also, if you only have kix32.exe as the name of the logon script, you will need to add the name of the script, ie kix32.exe scriptname.kix
I am not sure why, but I figured out that this turned out to be an isolated issue. I tested with 3 other user accounts and it worked just fine so I now will investigate why the original one didn't work. -- thank you
