OK - it broke <MY> logic that I had provided earlier. 
The last revision I posted works, so he should be in good shape and impress his co-worker when he returns after the accident.. as long as he isn't a KORG member, that is!
My partner is the programmer and i'm the network and hardware guy.
He is in a hospital right now with a broken leg and two broken arms after a car accident.
