Login script on server generates this error:

KIX32.EXE - Entry Point Not Found.

The procedure kix32.exe entry point encodepointer could not be located in the dynamic link library kernel32.dll

Running Kix 4.62 from netlogon share. Server is Windows 2003 SE (no SP)

Did it work before and suddenly stop?
Can you run the login script from your PC with a local copy of Kix?
How many DCs on the network?
Have you tried replacing the copy/copies of Kix? If you have more than one DC, delete Kix32 from one server, wait for replication to remove the others, then put a fresh copy on one server.

I am fairly confident this has to do with tokenization and more specifically password encryption.
not sure about the last, but...

you have two options. either use version 4.23 or install service pack 1.

more information on the cause of the exception: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb432254%28v=vs.85%29.aspx

This error occurs with only one server. Users trying to login to access apps on the server cannot connect. No other workstations or servers have reported erors. The workstations are Windows 2000.

4.61 worked - upgrade to 4.62 did not

5 DCs on network. 2 2008R2, 3 2003R2SP2

4.62 does not support Win2K that well anymore.

Thanks. This dept is the last to have Windows 2000. Their application server requires an upgrade, so this problem should go away.

I doubt that the code actually runs on the W2K3 server. Most likely, it just shares out the file which then tries to run on W2K.

I was thinking about it, but he posted that his DC's are of later version which means this must be a member server
