Hi, I have been asked to look at a server where they are using Kixtart and to be honest I never seen it before but managed to get my head round most of it. But they are using a variable $Hidedrives = (and what seems a series of random numbers??) we have tried to rem the command out but the drives dont appear in my computer either way. I cant see where the variable is setup as well as it's only referenced by the command $hidedrives ???

I have serached the web and cant see the variable and it only seems to be running the one script ???

Hope you can help

Many Thanks

Payneardo

This is only a guess...But there may be a WriteValue later on in the script that writes a key to the local policies.

Try checking one of the client computers for the NoDrives key in...

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\
Explorer\
