What do you mean by "hours flickers"?

when I click on the calendar buttons to select dates, before the form opens, there is flickering on the first one.

Oh yeah, I got that calendar form off of kixforms.org and its always done that. Something to do with kixforms and having that many controls created makes it flicker. Ive tried several things to fix it but have been unsuccessful.

well... I still don't understand what printing the document has to do with YTD values.
YTD is what it is, what has cumulated, including current.
unless in this country it means something different.

closing the form, yea, that makes sense.
why you want to have the printdialog open?
it looks nice and all, but you could do the printing without it too.
I mean, your current logic is nice and yea, paused printers look kinda funky but it works.
you could go around it, create your own printer selection form and do the printing right out of kf, this way you would know.
couple more hours of coding and the form wouldn't look as neat, but on the other hand the person doing the printing can't screw up paper sizes, landscape/portrait or other settings either :p

You're right about the definition of YTD. It is the accumulated amount an employee has been paid. But if the boss goes to print a paycheck for an employee, and then clicks cancel, I don't want the YTD to be updated since a physical check was never given to the employee.

Say he goes to print a check and realizes he forget to add something to it, clicks cancel, fixes, then goes to print it again. If I wasnt able to tell that cancel was clicked then it would add the amount twice, both time the print button was clicked.

In my opinion...A employees YTD amount has not actually increased until a physical paycheck has been printed. Otherwise it is just theory lol.

Also, I create a log of all printed paychecks, for the reports section in administration. I wouldnt want to create a log of a paycheck unless I was sure it was actually printed.

But I do agree that maybe it would be better if I created my own printer dialog form and just populate the printers like you said. It could make it a lot smoother. Was just trying to keep the windows printer dialog since thats what everyone is familiar with.

Thanks for sharing Shane. There was a php 2MB file upload limit as well as a forum 2MB limit which may have been the reason you could not upload before? I've set the upload limit to 5MB so you should be able to upload either a .zip or .rar file up to 5MB in size. What is in the zip/rar file does not matter, you can include exe files.

The idea is great - but there are so many legalities here in California I would have never even thought to attempt such a project myself, but glad to see you did and that it appears to be working for you.

Amazing to see the cool stuff that can still be built and used from KiXtart even after all these years.
