andy_neenan andy_neenan Just in Town Registered: 2012-03-15 Posts: 4 Loc: England	Hi all, New to all of this so bear with me! Hoping I could get some help on a hopefully basic addition to our KIX script We have an existing KIX login script in place, but as all of our client machines are assigned DHCP IP addresses, I think it would be a good idea to include the command ipconfig/registerdns so the DNS server is updated with the correct current address of the machines. Can this be added in to the KIX script or is there a better option I should be investigating? Thanks for any help Andy

(as in will they see a separate Command Prompt window appear during login? Also I take it that code can be placed anywhere in the script? Thanks for your help with this

Glenn Barnas Glenn Barnas KiX Supporter Registered: 2003-01-28 Posts: 4401 Loc: New Jersey	Use one of the WshPipe() UDFs to run this - it will capture the output (if you want to check it) and prevent any popup window. Just replace "Shell' with "WSHPipe()" and stick the command from Mart's example inside the parens. Be sure to include WshPipe UDF in your script.
