Not to derail this, but what your suggesting is to not use a batch file to launch kix?
right now i have just a simple batch file that looks like this:
Welcome to Domain
\\domain\netlogon\kix32 \\domain\netlogon\mylogon.kix
EDIT:
Guess I should add that the previous admin before me had used a batch file as the logon script so I un did his work and use the batch file to call kix since everyone in AD already has the name of the batch file in their AD Account info
