Previous snapshot? Off topic, but how long are you keeping your snapshots in VM? More than a few days can be dangerous to the VM environment!
What's the issue? From what I know about the VM snapshot process it's a pretty ugly way to achieve it, but other than inefficiency and the overhead of folding the deltas back in when the snapshot is deleted I hadn't spotted anything inherently dangerous.
I'm going to start a large scale deployments of VMware over the next 12 months and if there is a property of snapshots that affect the design and implementation now is a good time to know it.
