Hello

I'm having a problem trying to delete a local printer using DELPRINTERCONNECTION. The printer is part of a default build, that just uses a generic/text driver and is mapped to LPT1. I get error 1801 - Invalid printer name - if I try and delete this printer by its name. I've tried putting the printername in a variable, between quotes and just plain typing it in and neither work...

Anyone got any ideas? Thanks!

According to the manual:
Deletes a connection to a printer that was established by using ADDPRINTERCONNECTION

Since you want to delete a local printer, using DELPRINTERCONNECTION won't work. ADDPRINTERCONNECTION and DELPRINTERCONNECTION only work for shared printers and only under Windows NT/2000/XP.
You might be able to delete the local printer by deleting the appropriate keys in the registry. Check the following area for printer settings: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Print\
