Hello

Where do I start. I have never scripted before as all I've done is desktop support. I am now starting to do some ad admin work and realise it would be helpful if I could script.

Is there a basic newbe's guide? I would like to learn how to create a logon script - Map drive, map drive based on groups, add printers, copy short cuts to desktop and build my scripting skills from there, can anyone point me to a starters guide?

I also understand there is a Kix_Starters_Guide.zip but I cannot find this

regards

Wayne

Welcome to KORG!

The first step has been the realization that scripting is a useful and important part of administration.

I have a PDF File on my web site that I use when teaching scripting fundamentals - it's fairly generic, but does use Kix in the lesson examples. It's called Intro to Programming - you might find it useful.

Hanging out in forums like this will also help corrupt, er, educate you in the ways of scripting!

Enjoy, and good luck.

Glenn
