? 'Username : ' + @USERID
? 'Computer : ' + @WKSTA

Thanks in advance for your help

What server system are you running?
NT/2000/Novell etc?

Tis Ok, I read your other post.

To map drives
the command is USE
eg

IF InGroup ("MapMe")
Use H: "\\Servername\@USERID$"
EndIf

For the printers I use ADDPRINTERCONNECTION

eg
IF InGroup ("Printer")
AddPrinterConnection ("\\SERVERNAME\PRINTERNAME")
EndIf

I frequently read the manual on
A kixtart helpdesk, dont bother with the forum but the manual is handy

[Big Grin] [Big Grin] [Big Grin]

P.S. - The printer part will only work if you are using a network printer with the drivers set to automatically download to the client

run "\\c$\programfiles\microsoftoffice\office\outlook.exe

you mean this?...

run "\\c$\program files\microsoft office\office\outlook.exe"

This should work...
run "c:\program files\microsoft office\office\outlook.exe"

The first one (RUN \\C$\...) will only work with administrative privileges and if the AUTOSHAREWKS or AUTOSHARESRV registry key is set to automatically share administrative shares.

If you want Outlook to automatically start after login, then I'd put a shortcut to Outlook into the startup folder of the start menu.

You might want to check that you have given the correct permissions on the share and the files.

The share and file permissions need to be for example Bloggs full control but as you are using a server presumably windows NT or 2k with a domain ensure when you add permissions you have the domain selected and not the workstation.
Then and only then pick the account/group to whom you want to grant permissions.
If you have the local PC's name selected you are only granting permissions to poeple with accounts on that PC and not poeple with Domain login accounts.

On a workgroup network you would have to create a local user account on the Workstation you are sharing from for each user you want to grant permissions to.
