Well, when you really think about it, one would expect that since your changing the runlogonscriptsync setting in the login script itself - that it should take two logins to make it stick. We get around this by making this setting change using Windows NT policies. We set it at the workstation and user level. If two logins are an issue, would suggest you take the policy approach.
