It does actually 'work' to wine wkix straight out of the box \:\)
(yes, I might need to rescale the images a bit... \:D )

edit: fixed the links.

Oi Björn,

no replies yet? This is quite disilusioning, eh?
There might be no sense in it, but hey, I'd like to see my KiXtris script running on Ubuntu/Kubuntu/SuSe/Debian/whatever

Got time?

Hey you got it going eh. Just by coincidence, i also tried to get kix32.exe running under wine (suse) a few days a go - not nearly as much success as you've had though - nice (was getting GetUserInfoBlahBlah errors) ...

As an aside, and not to start a nix wars, but what's everyone's fav linux so far ? I've been trying suse and ubuntu together - my two cents is "suse looks better but ubuntu works better" ... still haven't decided.

Debian Lenny/Sid but I didn't try running WKiX.

I see a few fixme lines and suspect a lot of macros and functions won't work.

Mandriva here, could not get XUbuntu to load. Not sure what I think yet. But it did find my extremely off brand wireless adapter upon install.

Jochen - looks like it works (after regging kixforms ;\) )
Shawn - well - no go with kix32.exe for me either. I poked on wkix tho,
and well, it works.
Les - Yupp. alot of em - and doh- but wmi is so far a no go :).

And umm - debian-based is what I go for - and ubuntu is as easy as pie.

And sleepy I guess

I'll start playing with stuff from the land of *nix soon. Did some minor fiddling around with Suse but that was just for a few days. Also looked at Eudora once but work took all the attention at that time and I just never got back to it.

Jochen - nemas problemas! I need to find a way to make wmi function correctly 'n stuff.. wanna use some kixform-stuff, like that nice AD-viewer someone made, and ya.. a lot of stuff :D. neat thing is - I can do file stuff with kix now, in linux... aah, no need to hurry up on the perl-reading \:D

I'd recommend wine-tricks for anyone wishing to add some more window-ness to their wine-env.I am back to windows-env's at work, so I don't do much wine'ing (no other than wining about windows that is...).
