That is what I was afraid of. I had looked at the MS articles, and that didn't really help.
One scenario that has been brought up by our help desk is that profiles get corrupted from time to time and they want to be able to extract from the user's current NTUSER.DAT their printer connections, and then put them into a new and clean NTUSER.DAT
Given that, the user may or may not be logged in, and they never remember what printers they had mapped to begin with.
