If anyone can double-check, would be much appreciated. Does @SCRIPTDIR under Windows 2000 SP4 return a blank string ?

Works correctly for me. Returns the full directory where the script is located.

Ok, figured it out.

@SCRIPTDIR running under the context of an AD Startup script on a Windows XP box, returns the domain controller POLICY GUID share where the script resides.

@SCRIPTDIR running under the context of an AD Startup script on a Windows 2000 box, returns C:\WINNT\SYSTEM32.

Go figger eh ?

Thanks for moving the thread Ron (whoever).

btw - anyone think this is a still a bug, or figure its just funky AD support in Windows 2000 ? Don't know. My guess would have been the latter but not sure.

I think it's normal behavior myself. Windows 2000 does not understand anywhere near the amount of AD items as XP/2003/Vista do so having it report it's local directory is probably why.

When run from other OS like XP Pro, Vista, Server 2003 I would bet it reads the GUID which is where it came from.
