Good Morning,

I've found code about how to create an outlook object and send an e-mail that way. What I want to be able to do is paste text into an already open outlook compose window in the message body. Does anyone know if that is possible?

Thanks!

Is the text that you want to paste on the clipboard? If it is then have a look at Advanced Scripting » Read data from clipboard?

Hi Mart,

No, that just pulls the text from the clipboard into a variable. I already have the text in a variable. What I want to be able to do is:

1. User has Outlook compose window open and is typing in information.
2. User then clicks on the icon for my kixtart script on his desktop which guides him through gathering the required information. The result is a UNC path that I would then like to paste back into his Outlook compose window message body.

I wanted to try and stay away from setfocus and see if it could be done with COM automation. I think my problem is how to grab the handle for an already created object?

Regards,
