Doing a search when the search period is set to just one week will give you little to no results. I guess me and Allen are both still used to the search on the old board. Personally I like to search everything when I’m looking for something without having to change the time period. It is very annoying when you are searching for something that you are sure off being on the board but you don’t know where and search does not find it because you forgot the change the time period to search in. I agree there is also some blame to the one searching but I just prefer a default time period of 9 years so it just searches everything.
Imho this will also help newbie’s finding stuff and learning themselves before asking "obvious" questions.
