Is it possible to write a script that calls another script and runs it as another user? if so, how?

I searched before I posted for "run as" and nothing came up. I just searched for "runnas" and nothing came up. Also that thread you posted is something about server downtime. Any other ideas. I was hoping not to have to add another executable onto the machine, as i will be deploying this pretty widely.

jpastin,
do a seach for 'runas' then change the date rage to newer than '9 years' then change the result format to '100', then you will get over 500 hits.

Are you talking about runas or runnas? The latter can save the obfuscated password in a file.

RUNNAS written by Shawn Tassie one of the Admins of this board and the one who also created KiXforms is probably the best tool for this type of functionality that I'm aware of.

Please read documentation and examples in the original posts as well as the documentation that comes with it and make sure you're running the latest version.

And one more time... the Windows built-in RunAs will not take the password as an argument! You have to use an external app such as RunNAs!

If you use this lsrunase.exe util it will encrypt the password. I use it all the time, i't pretty simple to setup.
